Device Database

Setup of the device database.

The database contains the downloadable devices. Each device must be added to the database and setup for download. Click 'Databases' to see the device setup dialog.

Note: If you change any settings of this dialog you must update it to be active. Move to the next or previous record (device) or click on the refresh button!

Vending Machine:

Here you enter a device number. The device number is important because it is used to create the download file name. It may be alpha numeric. The Location is just for information and may later be used to form groups of devices i.g. devices per site. Notes contains any information of interest. The file name will be automatically generated and can not be specified.

Connection:

Here you select the connection and the protocol which meets the requirements of the device. This setting is very important to download successful. If a dialup modem is used, specify Country Code Area Code and the phone number. For the authentication enter Username and Password. This are probably the most difficult settings as the requested information comes from each device and must match the setting to be successful.

Scheduler:

Here we schedule the time of download. Set the time and Interval of download. In case a scheduled download fails set also the number of retries and the delay to retry. Demander will calculate the date and time of the next download. Readout Status informs about the last download.
